It has become necessary for NGT to change some of our routes to provide better service and accommodate our growing customer base. Starting next week, March 18, yard debris will be picked up on Wednesday’s -NOT Monday. Fairfax county has issued a new mandate prohibiting yard debris to be disposed of in plastic bags. Paper lawn bags may be used as well as any personal trash receptacles. We do NOT provide toters/bins for yard waste. It must be out by 6:00 a.m. Trash and recycling will remain on their current schedule.
We are still having poor compliance with the new recycling regulations so please also remind your residents that NO glass, styrofoam, or plastic bags are accepted in the recycling. We get fined if we have too much and it gets thrown away at the recycle center anyway!
